It is April? Let’s start the live music season. This time the first event of the year was not the academic week, it was something much better: The Blue Man Group Live in Casino de Lisboa. An amazing concert as I expected, in fact, was even better that I expected! (I already knew the band but I never saw them live).

Late April, it’s time for the annual edition of “Semana do Enterro”. Some new members in the flat, a fantastic group of people and it was time to rock hard. Highlights of this year: David Fonseca in a very good concert, DJ overule and Rui Veloso also were good as usual. I come back to Braga again this time to see Guano Apes to remember the 90’s. Very electrical concert, thumbs up! This year was so rad, my gosh, party after party, it was really crazy. (Thank you Tozas! You were not the only one but you have your share of blame on this).

I needed some electricity at that point, so nothing better that a concert of AC DC!! Unfortunately it wasn't the experience that I expected. To me, a band like this it’s unacceptable to have sound problems and the sound had delay from the PA of the stage to the PA of the back. Visually they are superb, the guys on stage are monsters, an awesome show but the sound was awful and in the end of the day, it was all about music and sound. The good news is that not everybody experienced this situation. I was unlucky that time.

Another edition of the Alive fest, Chris Cornell, The Black Eyed Peas and Dave Matthews Band. Dave Matthews superb as usual, Black Eye Peas a nice surprise and Chris Cornell was strange (and I like and admire him a lot).

| Andanças 2009 |
It was August and (without knowing), I went to my last Andanças Festival. Now, looking back, it was a tremendous experience but unfortunately always going down. I had tons of fun every year and it is a festival that I will never forget for the best reasons, but my first year was in all aspects by far the better one (2006).

I had a terrible flu that summer after Andanças, I still went to Sagres but this time without live music. At this point It’s November and I went to another Clubbing in Porto, this time to see Marcelo D2 and Bezegol. There's not too much to say, a fun night with musicians with a good vibe. The night after, I saw Chase and Status also in Porto, it was cool, good sound.
